Search “digital marketing company in Wembley” and you’ll find agencies, firms, consultants and freelancers, all promising more customers. They’re not the same. Here’s a quick way to choose.
The options at a glance
| Option | Best for | Watch out for |
| Digital marketing company / agency | Several channels at once, bigger budgets | Junior staff doing the work after a senior sales pitch |
| Digital marketing firm | Specialist teams, structured reporting | Long contracts and reports full of vanity metrics |
| Digital marketing consultant | Senior strategy and hands-on work, direct contact | Limited capacity, so agree scope clearly |
| Freelance digital marketer | One focused job, such as ads or social posts | Gaps when they’re busy or unavailable |
Six questions to ask before you sign
- Who will actually work on my account every week?
- How will you report results: cost per enquiry and sales, or just clicks and likes?
- Will the ad accounts, analytics and website be in my name?
- What will you do in the first 30, 60 and 90 days?
- Can you show results for a business like mine, with real numbers?
- How much notice do I need to give to stop?
Red flags: guaranteed first-page rankings, “we own the ad account”, contracts longer than three months with no exit, and reports with no link to enquiries or sales.
A simple budget rule
Work out what one new customer is worth to you over a year. If a marketer can bring customers in at a fraction of that, and prove it with tracking, they pay for themselves. If they can’t explain how they’ll measure it, keep looking.
